The Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President of Client Services and collaborates with senior strategists to ensure data-driven, strategy-first implementation of market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Select Client Relationships

As the primary point of contact for assigned rural health clients, serve as a healthcare marketing subject matter expert and collaborate with the firm’s strategists to advise clients on effective marketing and positioning strategies and supporting tactical plans.

Supports Marketing and Positioning Strategies (MAPS)

Support the development and implement strategic marketing and communication plans for rural health healthcare organizations. Manages Timely and On-Budget Execution of Marketing Projects

Ensure client objectives and goals are effectively incorporated into the firm’s content and creative development process. Implement client marketing plans on a daily basis, collaborating with internal teams to develop and assess creative concepts, implement campaigns, track campaign ROI, and measure/monitor client budgets, job profitability and defined key performance indicators.

Outreach and development for rural health division (dhmstudio+)

Responsible for outreach and development plans to proactively engage with prospective rural health hospitals, providers and organizations on behalf of the firm. Actively represents the firm at regional and national rural health conferences and/or community events. Implements a targeted sales and outreach strategy to increase rural health division clients regionally and nationally. Sets metrics to maintain and expand the rural health client base.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required: related field, Marketing Communications preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare marketing, communications and strategy required, preferably hospital, rural health experience or healthcare sales
  • Or, 5 years of experience in a marketing firm or advertising agency serving healthcare/hospital or rural health clients

Our healthcare marketing, branding and advertising firm in downtown Kansas City is seeking a talented Senior Marketing Specialist with a diverse set of skills. This position is responsible for multiple aspects of coordinating highly integrated marketing projects for our clients and our firm.

Success in this position requires proactive collaboration with creative, content, media, production and client services teams to support, manage and accelerate multiple concurrent projects. Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Paid Media Management: Serve as a vital member of the media team to assist in the planning, buying and ongoing stewardship of all paid media plans for the firm’s clients, including integrated traditional, non-traditional, SEM, paid social, direct digital and programmatic digital media. Coordinate with internal and third-party partners to assure media assets are proofed, delivered on time, meet publication/channel specifications, and follow industry best practices. Work in collaboration with the media team to create, maintain and distribute in-progress reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or ad hoc basis for a variety of initiatives
  • Creative Services Traffic, Production and Quality Control: Lead a group of account-based Marketing Specialists in managing and refining processes to traffic creative and other projects from beginning to completion. This group will serve as the final layer of quality control in reviewing creative execution to assure all work meets our best-in-class quality standards, it error free and designed to specs for print, direct, online or media production needs.
  • Manage Creative, Social and Digital Marketing Initiatives: Serve as a project manager for assigned creative, social, and digital marketing initiatives including but not limited to estimating and budgeting, establishing and adhering to timelines, designing or leading design, coordinating with the content team, executing organic efforts based on client goals, and supporting our clients’ presence and engagement on social media channels (paid and organic).
  • Client Services Support: Support and coordinate projects for specified clients with the goal of completing milestones and deliverables on time, on strategy, and within budget and scope. Dobies Health Marketing, a strategy-focused healthcare marketing and branding firm in downtown Kansas City, is seeking a Website Specialist with a passion for website management, design, maintenance and creating properties that drives traffic, leads and conversions. This position is responsible for overall project management, as well as building, formatting, updating and optimizing web pages in WordPress for our clients and our firm.

The Website Specialist works with our internal teams to manage the Discovery, Design and Develop phases of website creation to assure they align with client requirements. A critical component, the position creates pages within established WordPress templates and assorted visual/content elements to make design and copy come to life for the best user experience. The ideal candidate will be creative, efficient, and detail oriented – a natural problem-solver and someone with wide-ranging skill sets that support UX excellence.


  • Project management oversight, with an emphasis on the Discovery, Design and Develop phases
  • Building web pages to align with design and content direction
